Momma Clara’s Chocolate Upside-Down Cake
Ingredients
- Sift together;
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- Mix in;
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- (May add 1/2 cup nuts)
- Topping
- 2 Tbsp cocoa
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Blend together first 8 ingred (and nuts if desired). Spread into square sprayed pan. Spread topping over batter and then pour 1 cup boiling water over all. 350 degrees for 45 min.
