I got his from my mom when they moved back to Iowa from Texas.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 sq of chocolate or 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 pint sour cream (1cup)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • TOPPING FOR CAKE
  • 1 STICK BUTTER
  • 6 TBSP MILK
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1 sq chocolate or 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine the first 3 ingred. and boil. Mix next 3 ingred Remove the boiling pan from the heat and add rest of the ingred. Mix and pour in greased and floured 10x15pan Bake 375 for 20-25 min
  2. Topping- Mix butter, chocolate and milk, bring to boil and add sugar, banilla and 1/2 cup nuts. Spread on cake then add last of the 1/2 cup nuts.
